How to get people to abandon your cause

I assume and would like to think that as a Canadian, we’re all quietly patriotic. Proud to be where we are and what we have but not constantly bragging about it and visual/audible displays of it. I believe one of our (and apparently many Commonwealth countries) founding beliefs is in POGG – Peace Order and Good Governance. I understand and sympathize with exhaustion over COVID19 pandemic measures. I dutifully get my vaccine jabs and mask up in the belief that I am protecting myself and others. If someone wants to blow off some steam about all the measures that public health recommends and governments enact, fine.
But if you’re going to blow off steam by aligning yourselves with the crazies who think vaccines are some sort of conspiracy, mask mandates are BS, idolizing idiots in another country who suggest you take veterinary meds/chemicals, building a tent city on the legislature, defecate on the war memorial and then scream about how their American rights are being trampled on here in Canada, you lose any credibility and your cause deserves to be swept aside for another day.
